Le soulèvement de Maïdan et la guerre civile en Ukraine: une perspective de la gauche ukrainienne

Les événements de la dernière année on marqué un point tournant dans l’histoire de l’Ukraine et posent plusieurs questions difficiles pour les mouvements progressistes et pour la théorie critique de gauche. Volodymyr Ischenko, sociologue et analyste ukrainien, exposera sa perspective sur le Maïdan et sur la guerre civile qui fait rage présentement dans son pays. Il discutera de questions liées à la révolution, au nationalisme, au fascisme, à l’impérialisme et à la stratégie politique qui font présentement l’objet de discussions dans les cercles politiques et universitaires d’Ukraine.

Volodymyr Ishchenko est un sociologue spécialiste des protestations sociales en Ukraine. Il dirige le Centre de recherche sur la société et le travail et est membre du comité éditorial de la revue en langue ukrainienne « Commons: Journal for Social Criticism » et de Left East web-magazine. ll enseigne au département de sociologie de l’Académie Mohyla de Kiev et est l’auteur de nombreux articles sur le Maïdan et ses conséquences. Maidan uprising and civil war in Ukraine: questions for the left

Last year events marked not only a turning point in Ukraine’s history but also put a number of difficult questions for progressive movements and left critical theory. Volodymyr Ishchenko, a sociologist and leftist commentator, will expose his perspective on Ukrainian Maidan and ongoing civil war and will discuss the questions about revolution, nationalism, fascism, imperialism and the strategy which has been raised in political and academic discussions around Ukraine.

Volodymyr Ishchenko is a sociologist studying social protests in Ukraine. He is the deputy director of the Center for Social and Labor Research, a member of the editorial board of Commons: Journal for Social Criticism and LeftEast web-magazine, and a teacher at the Department of Sociology in the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
