Stage - Co-op student - Digital Inclusion Lab at Global Affairs Canada

Co-op student for the fall, beginning September 2018. Based in Ottawa.

The ideal candidate for this co-op opportunity would have several of the following assets :
-  Good understanding of contemporary tactics used by states and proxies to interfere in democratic countries (disinformation, computational propaganda, hacking).
-  Insight into digital and cyber dimensions of foreign policy.
-  Good understanding of international relations and evolving geopolitical and multilateral landscape.
-  Good understanding of the impact of Artificial Intelligence and other rapidly developing technologies on foreign policy and the nature of democracy in particular.
-  Understanding of social media landscape.
-  Experience with data entry and social media research.
-  Social media monitoring and analytics skills.
-  Big data for policy development skills.

This position requires a secret-level security clearance, which we can submit paperwork to secure for successful candidates.
