Co-op student for the fall, beginning September 2018. Based in Ottawa.
The ideal candidate for this co-op opportunity would have several of the following assets :
Good understanding of contemporary tactics used by states and proxies to interfere in democratic countries (disinformation, computational propaganda, hacking).
Insight into digital and cyber dimensions of foreign policy.
Good understanding of international relations and evolving geopolitical and multilateral landscape.
Good understanding of the impact of Artificial Intelligence and other rapidly developing technologies on foreign policy and the nature of democracy in particular.
Understanding of social media landscape.
Experience with data entry and social media research.
Social media monitoring and analytics skills.
Big data for policy development skills.
This position requires a secret-level security clearance, which we can submit paperwork to secure for successful candidates.
